DMARC management platform with Microsoft Single Sign-On (SSO)

Sendmarc’s DMARC management platform integrates with Microsoft Entra/365 Single Sign-On (SSO). With Microsoft SSO, your business can centrally manage access to the Sendmarc Portal using existing Microsoft credentials.

The Microsoft Entra/365 SSO settings are managed by your company’s account administrator in the Sendmarc Portal. Your organization can choose to disable, enable, or force these settings as well as a preferred provider.

What is Microsoft Entra/365 Single Sign-On (SSO)?

Microsoft Entra/365 Single Sign-On (SSO) enables a centralized system that connects your business’s Microsoft accounts to applications such as Sendmarc’s DMARC management platform. Users can log in securely with one set of credentials, reducing the need for multiple passwords.

How does Microsoft SSO work?

Microsoft 365/Entra SSO ensures a secure connection between the user, the identity provider, and applications. The security mechanism supports a range of applications, from cloud-based to on-premises solutions.

Microsoft SSO steps

User authentication

A user’s access request to an application triggers a redirect to the Microsoft sign-in page.
The user logs in using their Microsoft account credentials. This process might include Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), depending on the security requirements.
After successful authentication, Microsoft 365/Entra generates a security token that contains the user’s identity and authorization data.

Token authentication

The user is sent back to the requested application with the security token.
The application validates this token, and the user gains access if the token is valid.
While the session is active, the user can access other applications integrated with Microsoft SSO without re-authenticating.
