Register a trademark

BIMI trademarks: Which regions approve their registration?

To activate Brand Indicators for Message Identification (BIMI), your organization might need a registered trademark in an approved region. BIMI trademarks allow your verified logo to appear next to authenticated emails, enhancing visibility, trust, and email deliverability while helping block phishing and spoofing attempts.

BIMI trademark regions FAQs

Does my company need a trademark to qualify?

While Verified Mark Certificates (VMCs) require a registered trademark for your logo, some email clients now support Certification Mark Certificates (CMCs), which don’t require trademark registration.

Yes, your business can use multiple domains with BIMI, but only one logo is supported per certificate. If you want to use different logos, each logo must have its own qualifying verification – either a Verified Mark Certificate (VMC) or a Certification Mark Certificate (CMC).
